Trail Maintenance and Weeding at The Nature Discovery Center

A few days ago, we volunteered at the Houston Nature Discovery Center. Because there were so many children who wanted to help out, we split the kids into 2 groups.

The first group started with clearing out the front of the center by puling and plucking small weeds and plants. Next they did a trail maintenance walk. They walked along the trails carrying a bag to pick up and throw away any type of trash or plastic waste they could find.

The second group of children did their work on the other side of the park. The trail was getting covered in plants, trees, weeds, etc. So, to make the trail more accessible to everyone, we pulled all the bulky weeds out of the way.

All of these AMAZING kids did some AMAZING work around the park and made a big difference in both Mother Earth's life and ours.

Hope you have a great day!
